  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit was featured during nationally syndicated radio host and author, Michael Baisden's recent community forum and book signing held in Detroit at the Charles H. Wright Museum on Friday, June 29, 2012. Larry and Steven Williams, members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and a father and son team, who mentor brothers, were featured, along with other mentors and their mentees. Steven, a former Marine and recent Law school graduate at the time he was matched, shared why he decided to become and big brother and answer his fraternity’s call to get involved.

  • 2012 is a very special year for one Sports Buddies Little, his mom and his Big Brother. All three wore cap and gown this graduation season. Alfonzo graduated from Southfield High School in Southfield, Michigan last month with a 3.2 GPA, while being a varsity member of the wrestling team and working part-time at Subway.
