Big Brothers Big Sisters has a proud tradition of partnering with institutions of faith. As part of the Mentoring Brothers in Action Campaign, we seek to strengthen and enhance these relationships, while building new ones.

African Methodist Episcopal Church

The African Methodist Episcopal Church is building a relationship with Big Brothers Big Sisters to make an impact on youth, families and our nation. In 2009, the Board of Bishops and the General Assembly voted to work with Big Brothers Big Sisters to mobilize role models for children. Today, AME Churches continue to establish partnerships with Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies around the country.

United Methodist Church General Commission on United Methodist Men

The United Methodist Church’s General Commission on United Methodist Men works with Big Brothers Big Brothers Sisters Amachi effort to engage people of faith and people of good will to mobilize mentors for children with incarcerated parents. The partnership with the men of the United Methodist Church led to the inclusion of Big Brothers Big Sisters in the Church’s Book of Discipline
